ANNUALS

CELOSIA – Smart Look Romantica

Plumes start out creamy salmon with pink tips, and mature to salmon pink. The Smart Look series features the same fine attributes of the Fresh Look series, only with dark green foliage with bronze veins, and bronze-red stems! Nice basal branching plants produce plumes that contrast beautifully with the dark foliage and will last throughout the summer.

COSMOS – Double Click Rose Bon Bon

Large double flowered blooms in rich rosy lavender top tall, sturdy, 3 foot stems throughout summer. Ideal for cut flowers, cosmos provides tons of blooms right up to frost in summer’s heat and humidity in any well drained garden soil. Easy to grow in full sun, Bonbon adds color and interest to the border and vase.

DAISY – Santa Double White Flowers

Upright growing to 2 feet tall. Double pure white with yellow center. Some narrow petals are fringed resulting in very full and frilly appearance. Dark green foliage and strong sturdy stems- excellent cut flower

DIANTHUS – Venti Parfait Crimson Eye

Combines the dwarf plant habit and vigor of the Super Parfaits with extra large flowers. Big bold flowers with crimson centers and pink edges completely cover the compact plants on this outstanding Dianthus.

GAZANIA – Daybreak Bronze IMP

Annual with red-orange-bronze colors, great for late summer / early fall color in the garden. Repeatedly blooms over the season to last throughout the entire summer. A full sun annual.

GAZANIA – Daybreak Yellow IMP

Annual with bright yellow colors, great for adding color in the garden all summer long. Repeatedly blooms over the season to last throughout the entire summer. A full sun annual.

GAZANIA – Kiss Rose

Butterflies love it! 'Kiss Rose' features large, daisy-like pink flowers with a dark rose ring around the eye. Blooms cover the blue-green compact, mounded foliage from late spring to fall. This plant is an excellent choice for a hot, sunny location.

GAZANIA – Kiss Frosty White Flame

Kiss Frosty White Gazania produces blooms of soft white with mid-silver foliage. Mounded. Gazania is a heat lover and will add summer excitement to your garden, Excellent plants for hot, sunny locations. Flowers close up in shade or on cloudy days. Compact series displays excellent uniformity in plant habit across all colors.

LOBELIA – Bed of Roses

The two varieties have differing flowering times, allowing for an extended show of color. Bed O' Roses Includes Riviera Rose and Rosamond lobelias. Lobelia Riviera’s rose-pink and Lobelia Rosamond’s scarlet-rose combine to gorgeous, attention-getting effect.

LOBELIA – Blues Brother

Combines two different varieties and shades—Lobelia Riviera Midnight Blue and Lobelia Cristal Palace—to delightful effect. To provide a long-running show of color, the varieties have different flowering times, while sharing the same seed vigor and plant habit.

IMPATIEN – Extreme Violet IMP

Compact, heat-loving, 8-10 inch plants produce incredible amounts of jumbo 2.5 inch flowers. Fast growing, very long-blooming, and easy to grow. Glowing violet color.

PANSIES – Delta Premium Yellow Blotch

Delta is extremely uniform in timing and habit. Earlier to bloom and more free flowering. Less plant stretch and longer shelf life. Large 3" blooms on 4-5" plants are the most versatile series for production in spring and fall.

PANSIES – Heat Elite Yellow

These pansies are reliable in all conditions – especially heat. Bright yellow coloring.

PANSIES – Mammoth Pink Berry

Mammoth has extra large flowers and a robust root system. This Goldsmith Seeds variety is very uniform and is stretch resistant under warm conditions. Nicely branched plants fill pots quickly.

PANSIES – Matrix Amber Mix

Unmatched color show for cool seasons. Plant in early spring or fall for best performance. Plant in sun or partial sun for best flowering. In some climates, pansies planted in the fall will overwinter and re-bloom in the spring. Very low maintenance.

PANSIES – Chianti Mix

Large, semi-ruffled blooms in shades of peach, rose and red are all streaked with darker shades of color, giving a highly decorative appearance. The fancy nature of this variety makes it perfect for container gardening.

PANSIES – Heat Elite Pure White

These pansies are reliable in all conditions – especially heat. Bright white coloring brings cool colors to your garden.

PANSIES – Snow Pansy Blue & White

Performs well in a wide range of climates. Snow Pansies can be transplanted in the fall for late season color and return faithfully the following spring.

PHLOX – 21st Century Mix

Offers outstanding showiness, hybrid germination and vigor. Easy-to-grow plants are day length neutral, and finish fast and uniformly across all colors. Vigorous lateral branching makes full, mounded plants, with strong flower power from Spring until frost. Tolerates heat very well when planted in the garden in early Spring with cooler temperatures.

PHLOX – Beauty Mix

An abundance of showy summer flowers in pastels and bright colors. Blooms prolifically in a cool moist location but will stand considerable heat and drought. Use in mixed borders and patio pots. Select a location with full sun to partial shade.

SALPIGLOSIS – Royal Purple Bi-Color

This salpiglossis has a beautiful purple flower with a yellow throat. Full sun, do not overwater. Blooms hard all season. The 1 1/2 foot basal branching plants are glorious in containers or to light up the garden with radiant color. Salpiglossis makes a great front to mid border plant.

TALINUM – Lemon

Also known as Jewels of Opar, Talinum Limon has chartreuse foliage with delicate pink flowers dancing above. Talinum Limon adds great interest to mixed containers and landscapes. This tough plant handles stress well and is low maintenance. When it is exposed to stressful light, feed and water conditions, Limon’s foliage shows off an even more vibrant chartreuse color.

VIOLA – Penny Primrose Picotee

The Penny series boasts the vigor growers have now come to expect from hybrid violas. Larger than normal viola sized blooms proliferate over lush green, compact foliage. Penny is a series that is excellent for both spring and fall bloomings, and have multiple uses for bedding, landscape and container sales.

WAHLENBERGIA – Icy Blue

A tall, handsome plant of shady places, flowering in late summer and autumn: the leaves are stalked, narrowly ovate in shape, and with serrate margins: the flowers, which are gathered in a long terminal spike, are large, bell-shaped, erect, and of a fine ice blue color.

PETUNIA – Picobella - Rose Morn

Due to its round growth habit and multiple flowers, Picobella is easy to grow and very attractive at retail level and is weather resistant. The new variety stands out from the existing assortment because of its visual attractiveness.

PETUNIA – Dolcissima Roma

This unusual Italian petunia sports masses of large ruffled 3 inch blooms in rich shades of cherry pink highlighted with soft yellow centers. Growing 8-10 inches in full sun, this beautiful variety was bred to provide a wall of constant color throughout summer. Ideal for window boxes, containers, and the border, Roma adds beauty and vibrant color to the landscape.

PETUNIA – Wave – Avalanche Grape

Some unique colors and exceptional weather tolerance are a few of the features that distinguish this spreading multiflora petunia series. In trials Avalanche displayed a tighter plant habit and flowered sooner under short days than the Wave series. Great for baskets, planters and as an annual ground cover.

PETUNIA – Wave – Ramblin Burgundy Chrome

Vivid, shimmery burgundy blooms cover this 8 inch tall early flowering hybrid. Spreading up to 2 1/2 feet, Ramblin is ideal for baskets and containers with a slightly more compact growth habit than other spreading types and is extremely free flowering.

PETUNIA – Wave – Ramblin Peach Glow

This new petunia series offers a crawling habit, available in four colors. Best grown in full sun or partial shade. Good in containers, window boxes or hanging baskets.

PETUNIA – Wave – Ramblin Sugar Plum

Ramblin is earlier and has a better habit than other spreading Petunias. Plants grow 10-14" in full sun with a mounding and spreading habit. Heat tolerant, prefers full sun.

PETUNIA – Easy Wave – Pink Dawn

Although a spreading petunia, its habit is more mounded than the Waves, a bit less spreading, and will maintain a nice crown throughout the growing season. They are earlier to flower and still fill out a garden bed or basket very well.

PETUNIA – Easy Wave – Neon Rose

Exceptional uniformity and well-matched habit plus the widest color range make Easy Wave the most versatile of all large-flowered spreading petunias! Easy Wave's continuous, care-free color in landscapes and containers make for easy gardening success.

PETUNIA – Easy Wave – Red

A great choice for the gardener. Easy wave is excellent in the garden, ground cover, baskets or containers either on their own or mixed in a hanging basket. Offers easy-to-flower, high-impact plants with minimal maintenance requirements. The plants fill out well and stay full all season.

PETUNIA – Easy Wave – Opposites Attract Mix

The earliest-to-flower spreading petunia. Fast flowering combines with strong branching to deliver the quickest fill in hanging baskets of any spreading petunia.

MORNING GLORY – Happy Hour Rose

‘Happy Hour Rose’ morning glory features abundant, pretty rose-red flowers, each with a white throat, over variegated foliage. Plants climb 6 to 9 feet and flowering starts when the vine reaches 3 feet.

MORNING GLORY – Good Morning Red

This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds. This plant is suitable for growing indoors. Provides winter interest. Suitable for growing in containers

NASTURTIUM – Melba Yellow

Has lovely, semi-double creamy-yellow flowers distinctly marked with bright orange-scarlet. This unusual color provides a stunning display in borders, beds or containers. Its flowers also make a colorful and tasty addition to tossed salads.

 

VEGETABLES

LETTUCE – Paris Island Romaine

This popular Romaine has upright growth to 10 inches with large thick medium green slightly rumpled leaves with creamy white centers. Tender, crisp and sweet flavored. It is tolerant to many lettuce diseases and is slow bolting. Approximately 65 days to maturity.

LETTUCE – Simply Salad – Alfresco Blend

This mix has a true Mediterranean flavor and feel to it. The mix includes lettuces, arugula, endive and radicchio. Visually a nice mix, with shades of green red and bronze.

LETTUCE – Simply Salad – City Garden Blend

A traditional mix of lettuce varieties that are easy to grow and is sure to have wide appeal. This attractive mix includes many shades of green and bronze and offers many different leaf textures.

LETTUCE – Simply Salad – Global Gourmet

A nice mix of Asian flavors and herbs for use in salads or stir-fry. The mix includes lettuces, brassicas and Asian herbs and offers many different leaf textures in shades of greens and bronze.

PEPPERS – Gypsy

Not a bell, but a conical sweet pepper going from pale green to yellow to intense orange to red, becoming sweeter all along. Unique in earliness, yields, delicious flavor and appearance. This Hybrid Sweet Pepper features yellow, wedge-shaped 3-5 inch fruit tapering to a blunt nose. Medium sized plants with a continuous fruiting habit, produce well in cool and hot regions.

PEPPERS – Sweet Cherry

Smooth skin and thick-meat. The flesh is sweet and shaped like cherries but of good sized. Nice for salads, canning, or pickling. Can be used in the green stage or in the red, ripe stage.

PEPPERS – Sweet Pimento Red Pickling Pepper

Pimiento peppers are excellent pickled and delicious when used for stuffed appetizers. For delightful crunch and beautiful color, add chopped fresh pimientos to salads such as pasta, potato, chicken, tuna or egg salad. Pimientos are green, smooth, heart-shaped, thick walled and they turn bright red at maturity.

MONSTER VEGETABLES

MONSTER – Pepper Jalapeno

These big, bold meaty peppers give you a flavor the entire family will enjoy. Harvest when green or red within 70 days of setting out our healthy transplants. Each compact plant yields dozens of fruit, perfect for growing in a container on a deck or patio.

MONSTER – Pepper Bell Green

The plants yield fruits when other bell peppers quit because they set fruit even under cool conditions. The compact plants are ideal for growing in pots. Non-stop production all season, starting in just 60 days from setting out our husky transplants. Expect a non-stop harvest from spring through fall. The walls are thick, crisp and crunchy, the flavor as good as eating a juicy sweet apple.

MONSTER – Melon – Cantaloupe

6-10 Pounds, sutured with finely netted rind. Rich, heady muskmelon aroma. Aggressive rambling vines.

MONSTER – Watermelon

Oblong- up to 1 foot wide and weighing over 30 pounds! Sweet red flesh in bodily striped rind. Produces one or two monster Watermelons per vine.

MONSTER – Acorn Squash

Deep black rind and warm golden flesh with large seed cavity. Flavor is great and fruit is blue-ribbon size. Vigorous bush habit with large foliage.

MONSTER – Tomato

Standard red color, but 17 oz – the largest ever in Grimes’ Trials. Use in home garden for blue-ribbon sized fruit at your fingertips.
