A letter of gratitude from Bonnie Beier

Dear Valued Customers,

Beier's Greenhouse wants to share some exciting and important news. I, Bonnie Beier, owned and operated Beier's Greenhouse for 48 years. I bought the business from my parents, Melvin and Lucille Beier, who previously owned and operated it for 20 years. My son, Jarrod Troumbly, has helped me extensively through many hard patches that life brings us sometimes, but I could always count on him and I want to personally thank him for all he’s done for me. He now has a large and beautiful Greenhouse in Detroit Lakes called Country Fields. It’s definitely worth the drive to go and check it out. My daughter, Tiffiney, and her husband Jacob Bartz have also been very supportive. They own Itasca Dog Lodge here in Grand Rapids as well as Bartz Contracting.

It has been our family’s endeavor to serve Grand Rapids and the surrounding community, with “quality plants grown in the north for the northern grower” for over 68 years we have had the honor of serving this great community.

My family and myself are incredibly grateful for all your loyalty and support over the years. Your patronage has made this journey a wonderful experience, and we are all deeply appreciative. So very many of our customers are like family to us. So spring becomes like a family reunion as we see our customers return each season and, of course, get very excited to meet our new customers!

We are thrilled to see the business continue to thrive under the ownership of Alysia, who is committed to providing the same quality service and plants you've come to expect. She understands the importance of our customer relationships and is eager to build upon the foundation we've created. Alysia has been with us for several years, growing and managing, and has the passion and dedication to own and operate Beier’s Greenhouse. She’s also bringing many new and innovative ideas to the greenhouse. I personally love going into the greenhouse and seeing what is new.

You will still see me at the greenhouse from time to time as I also have to get my plant fix! New adventures await me, and I am excited and very, very grateful. My dad used to say “all things are just an adjustment in life. You will decide how you're going to adjust.”

I personally want to thank each and every employee that has ever worked for me. You are the bones of this place. Your loyalty and dedication to work your “butts off” rain or shine has always been outstanding. Also, many of you have become my dear friends over the years and I want you all to know from the bottom of my heart, thank you - thank you - thank you! You truly are the best!!!!
